Introducing Instant Apps Hosting: Open Source Apps, Made Simple

Why I Built This

Over the past 25 years, I’ve looked after websites and hosting for countless customers. And if you needed a reminder of what that looks like in practice, Microsoft recently confirmed that it handed over customers’ encryption keys to the FBI — without those customers knowing. BitLocker, the tool that’s supposed to protect the data on your Windows computer, quietly backs up its keys to Microsoft’s cloud by default. When the FBI came knocking with a warrant, Microsoft simply handed them over. It’s a stark example of what happens when someone else holds the keys to your data.
